RED BLUFF – Tehama County’s various law enforcement agencies gathered at High Point Assembly Wednesday night to honor their fallen brethren at the 28th Annual Tehama County Peace Officers Memorial Ceremony.
The evening’s keynote speaker was Linda Mobilio, widow of Red Bluff Police Officer David Mobilio. She spoke about the nature of grief and the support her blue family gave her after her death.
“It evokes an evolution of a person who is forced to live in a space where you are in a moment of deep love and appreciation for all that is good and wonderful in this life,” Linda Mobilio said. “There is also this immense sadness. And so it’s often confusing and exhausting, but at the same time, it’s also incredibly enlightening.
During the reading from the word of God, Police Chief Kyle Sanders offered a reading.
Sheriff Dave Hencratt conducted a roll call of the deceased officers. They were Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Gibson, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Thomas Albanese, Los Angeles County Police Officer Jose Luis, Los Angeles County Probation Officer Michael Wall, San Luis Obispo Police Detective Luca Benedetti, Stockton Policeman Jimmy Inn, San Bernardino County Sheriff. Sergeant Dominic Vaca, San Diego Police Detective Ryan Park and Detective Jamie Huntley-Park, Imperial County Sheriff’s Deputy Anthony Redondo, Kern County Sheriff’s Deputy Phillip Campas, Police Officer Galt Police Harminder Grewal and Fresno County Sheriff’s Officer Toamalama Scanlan.
Hencratt asked Luke Mobilio to come up and light a candle to honor his father.
The ceremony ended with a closing prayer by Sheriff’s Chaplain Dale Gibson.
“I would pray, Lord, that everyone who puts on this badge will come home at the end of their shift to their families,” Gibson said.

President John Kennedy designated May 15 as National Peace Officers’ Memorial Day on October 2, 1962.
