Gurwin Health Care System announced the official opening of The Parkview, the largest residential building in the new Fountain Gardens independent living complex on the 36-acre Commack campus in Gurwin, with delivery of the Certificate of Occupancy on August 16, 2022.
The $115 million, 129 luxury apartment Life Plan Community is a unique concept in senior living, Long Island’s newest and final piece in Gurwin’s senior living offering. Over 50 community members have already moved into their one and two bedroom apartments in the community, with more expected in the days and weeks to come. The first building, The Terraces, opened in May.

Comprised of 102 stylish apartments, The Parkview at Fountaingate Gardens offers 11 floor plan options ranging from 830 square feet to 1,350 square feet. The Terraces consist of 27 apartments, with six floor plan options ranging from 1,000 square feet to 1,570 square feet. The two four-story buildings are connected to the community’s over 20,000 square foot Clubhouse, which features an array of wellness-focused amenities, a heated saltwater pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center , a lounge, a library, a variety of dining options and more.
