Harding to Continue Distinguished Lecture Series | Community

Harding University American Studies Institute will host UN World Food Program Executive Director David Beasley, along with US Senator John Boozman and former Walmart CFO Brett Biggs, for a discussion on the future of security world food on November 2. 3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the auditorium of the Anthony and Wright administration building.

Beasley was appointed Executive Director of the United Nations World Food Programme, the world’s largest humanitarian organization focused on hunger and food security, in 2017. He has implemented strategies to achieve global food security and, under its leadership, the World Food Program was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2020.
