The Delaware County Peace, Justice and Unity March will take place on October 7

Release: September 30, 2022

The community is invited to participate in the Delaware County Media Peace, Justice and Unity March on October 7, organized by Delaware County Sheriff Jerry Sanders, the Media Borough Police Department and the Second Baptist Church.

Members of law enforcement and faith-based organizations across Delaware County are once again participating in the annual National Faith & Blue event, which runs October 7-10 this year.

Faith & Blue was launched to facilitate safer, stronger, more just and unified communities by directly enabling local partnerships between law enforcement professionals, residents, businesses and community groups through the connections of local faith-based organizations. The initiative aims to recalibrate police-community relations through solution-oriented activities that are jointly organized by faith-based or other community groups and law enforcement agencies.

Delaware County will kick off the weekend with a March for Peace, Justice and Unity on Friday, October 7 at noon. Law enforcement, faith-based organizations, and the community are encouraged to gather at Second Baptist Church (400. E State St., Media, PA) at noon and walk down State Street to the County Courthouse from Delaware. (201 W. Front St., Media PA).
