Delaware County Participates in National Faith & Blue Program
Delaware County Sheriff Jerry Sanders is spearheading an initiative to include Delaware County law enforcement, faith-based organizations and the community in the National Faith & Blue event, which has taking place October 8-11 this year.
Faith & Blue was launched to facilitate safer, stronger, more just and more unified communities by directly enabling local partnerships between law enforcement professionals, residents, businesses and community groups through connections of ‘local faith-based organizations. The initiative aims to recalibrate police-community relations through solution-oriented, in-person, social-distancing and / or virtual activities that are jointly organized by faith groups or other community groups and agencies. law enforcement officers.
Delaware County will kick off the weekend with a March for Peace, Justice and Unity on Friday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m. Law enforcement, faith-based organizations, and the community are invited to assemble at the Second Baptist Church (400.
