Lao Cai (VNA) – The border guards of the northern province of Lao Cai and Hekou border management force Chinait is
Yunnan Province discussed measures to intensify law enforcement cooperation in border areas during their April 15 talks.

Despite the complex developments of the COVID-19 pandemic in recent times, the two sides have maintained their close and effective coordination in implementing the signed cooperation mechanisms.

They exchanged information through the hotline, conducted joint law enforcement patrols, and joined hands in fighting crime and fighting the pandemic. Both sides have made efforts to build a common border of peace, friendship and development.

During the talks, they agreed to consolidate these cooperation mechanisms, increase information sharing on cross-border crimes and strengthen cooperation in investigative work.

They will also intensify communication work to promote achievements in the fight against crime and build capacity for cooperation in drug prevention and control./.
